A bit about me

I’m a freelance journalist and lifelong history student, so I’ve always covered news with one eye on the past. My work has taken me from Lebanon to Poland and to Ukraine over the past few years, where I’ve covered Eastern European and Middle Eastern politics and society.

Because my expertise lies primarily in these parts of the world, I feature them prominently in this newsletter, but endeavor to utilize a global lens to cover as many corners of the world as possible.
